Hunter Emblem Overview

The Hunter Emblem grants a 2/3/4/5 class carried by five champions: Cinderling at one cost, Caitlyn at two, Tristana at three, Sivir at four and Ashe at five. Single-step thresholds from 2 through 5 mean Hunter boards always have a live next tier. The roster has a shape no other trait in Set 18 shares — exactly one champion at each cost from one to five, with no duplicates and no gaps. Whatever stage you are at, there is precisely one Hunter your economy can currently afford, which makes the class unusually legible to plan around. The bonus rewards commitment in combat as well: Hunters gain Attack Damage, and a Hunter who has not swapped targets for a duration gains Damage Amp on top.

When to Use Hunter Emblem

Hunter's every-unit ladder makes the emblem near-universally convertible — whatever your Hunter count below 5, one more is a threshold. The roster spans all costs, so both early splashes and late verticals exist, and the one-per-cost structure means your Hunter count tends to climb in step with your level rather than spiking. Since the five members are also the entire pool, Hunter 5 is reachable naturally but only by fielding every one of them including a four- and a five-cost; an emblem is what lets a four-Hunter board reach the cap while keeping a slot for something else. The craft (Golden Frying Pan + B.F. Sword) is the expensive one among class emblems: a Sword is your AD carry's core component, so the emblem competes directly with damage items, and the Fae Emblem draws on the same piece. Slam it only when the tier gain beats a completed carry item. The target-lock clause is worth a thought when placing the holder, since the Damage Amp accrues to units that keep attacking the same target rather than to whoever happens to hold trait credit.

Best Champions for Hunter Emblem

1

Sivir

Sivir pairs Hunter with Primal at four cost; she's the natural carry the class builds around, and emblem support keeps her tier climbing.

2

Ashe

Ashe stacks Hunter with Blossom at five cost — the capstone body that emblem-boosted boards field last.

3

Tristana

Tristana carries Hunter, Fae and Sprykin on a three-cost frame — the most trait-dense body in the class, and the reason mid-game Hunter counts often arrive attached to two origins.

Hunter Emblem Synergies

Hunter reaches into Riftbeast (Cinderling), Coven (Caitlyn), Fae/Sprykin (Tristana), Primal (Sivir) and Blossom (Ashe) — ranged-carry origins throughout, which is why Hunter credit tends to accompany whatever AD board you were already building. The pairing with Primal is structurally notable: Sivir is a member of both, and Primal caps at three natural members, so a board fielding her is simultaneously a third of the way into an origin that needs emblem help to finish. Caitlyn plays the same double role for Coven, another trait with no recipe of its own.

Pro Tips for Hunter Emblem

  • 1Every count from 2 to 5 is a threshold — the emblem always buys a tier if you field Hunters at all.
  • 2The B.F. Sword cost is the highest among class crafts: your carry's damage items come first, and the Fae Emblem wants the same component.
  • 3Hunter has exactly one champion at each cost from 1 to 5, so your natural count tends to track your level — plan the emblem around the rung your rolls will miss.
  • 4The Damage Amp needs a Hunter to stay on one target, so target access and positioning affect what a tier is actually worth.
  • 5Check the live rankings for where Hunter tiers actually pay off before committing the Sword.
